Whitetail Deer are everywhere here in the U.S. and Canada especially in the more suburban areas like ours.

 

Our neighorbor had an apple tree right next to our driveway and here are some shots of a buck that started to frequent it, he also has a brother and they usually hang out but not today, over the winter he hurt his shoulder/leg and was dragging it, wildlife will not put them down unless they are on their death step they said let nature take over well nature took care of this little buck. Enjoy.

getting those apples, note they don't even ripen for another month, I wonder why there are never apples on this tree when fall hits

Wow... what a cutie. It must be very cool to have them around your house.

It is cool to have them but then it is not because they eat everything you plant but marigolds and daisy...it gets a bit boring or you can buy the deer replenent but that stuff gets pricy, nice but can be a nusiance.

I was thinking about your deer a few days ago= the post you did last year. I was going to ask you if they were back yet.

awe you remembered , I got the babies last year, I haven't see them yet to get pics mom has been keeping them more in the wood away from the apple tree this year maybe because the 2 bucks are dominanting this year?

Yes I remember your deer shots from last year also Elly, like you say cute but wildlife can take it’s toll when you live with them. Around here they think we garden for them I think...they don't wait till things are ripe.

They never have a chance to find out lol but I have seen a show that deer and other animals when they eat too much of ferminated apples or fruit they can get drunk.

mmmm they sure would taste nice living on apples!!

lol, my husband is a deer hunter, I bet he would think so too but we can't shoot them where we live.

Oh deer!

geat shots. We get alot of wildlife, too. Our camp on Manatoulin last winter had moose coming out of the bush to lick salt off the truck. And last summer I was baking bread at 1:00 in the morning and I attracted a big, huge black bear that reared up on its hind legs against the flimsy screen door - he left a huge paw print I will never do that again!
