July 27, 200816 yr Author Oh No, ... Jenene, I am soo sorry for your loss - How is the other one doing? Hi Neat I put the other one back with a foster mother as I didnt want to risk losing his too. He is going well and is being fed.But while I was at work this afternoon another one hatched from the original nest and she has fed it so I will be keeping an eagle eye on her. Actually I have two new bubs hatch today!! New bubs puts a smile on our faces :hap: They sure do Kaz! When ever I have a bad day all I need to do is spend time with my birds and their chicks and all is well!! :hap: :hap:
July 27, 200816 yr Awwwwwwwwwwwww so sorry Jenene for your little one dying it must be frustrating when you try to do the right thing and something like this happens......sometimes we have no control over what happens it just happens but i guess the main thing is you tryed and can only hope everything goes well for the rest of them .......regards John & Swanacilli

July 30, 200816 yr Author Well I'm pleased to report that there are now 2 more chicks have hatched from this clutch and the mother is feeding them very well. I left the eldest one with its foster mother. (I dont want to push my luck). There is still one egg to hatch. I candled it tonight but couldnt tell if chick is dead or alive. I suppose time will tell.
July 30, 200816 yr Best way to tell is to turn the egg, so you get a view of it .. Then wait the the sac to settle then see if there is movement :hap:
