Breeding Wild Type Budgies

Any thoughts on whether a pair of tiny wild budgies would need more or less than your standard amount of space for breeding? I'm thinking that they are built for flight (unlike our 'corrupted english budgies :D ) so maybe I should give thema slightly larger cage to breed in?

Thoughts??

I'd agree, probably need more space due to natural habits and levels of excercise they'll need

I would give them more space too :D and make their environment look at natural as possible.

I am limitted a little with my cage options but I've chosen a cage that is nearly twice as large. They are captive bred birds so they aren't hugely flighty around humans so I don;t need to worry about freaking them out but I'll put some vegetation in the corners to make it nice for them. They are so tiny, like little budgie mini me's :D

Haha i have a few runts like that, although not wild bred birds or fomr wild lines they're still cute :P

The funniset thing was watching the little bloke trying to chat up the big english hen AV got from the same breeder, it was like a chihuahua trying to get amorous with a great dane :P

Mb, maybe a more natural breeding box ? If you want to go all out with the natural Theme, But since these were already Captive budgies I don't see that a larger cabinet is important, But that is just me :D

I'm not necessarily that fussed about the natural look. They seem more inclined to fly than the show birds so I was more thinking about giving them a bit more space to move. They have come out of an aviary so they are used to having room to fly.
