THANKS  for labeling the Opaline chick i can now see how you can tell B)

I hope that there are some viable chicks in the cold eggs ... I am sure that you will at least get one. But hoping for all of them to hatch ..... They have a lot going for them ...

Best of luck Mate .......

So far no hatchings with the eggs that went cold when foster mother got off them. So we have 6 babies to this pair...any more from their eggs now would be a miracle.

A new chick fpstered into their nest from another nest....similar age little hen chick that wasnt being cared for real well in another nestbox. Their two in Vinnies nest are doing really well.

FANTASTIC!!! That is great news Kaz. ^_^ look forward to seeing the little ones..

I truly thought they would die in shell JB. But when I was speaking with the breeder of Omelette last night she said the eggs ( if they were going to hatch ) would hatch a day or two later than they would normally due to being moved again and losing temperature at that time. She was right.

that is excellent news congratulations. I now hope I have the same result with my eggs. 1st due tomorrow I think

One of the horrid things of keeping budgies is I just had to euthenase a lovely grey cock bird. When I got him he seemed to be having a moult that affected his tail feathers...they were on a funny angle. I just caught him up and he had a massive tumour growing on and through his preen gland. There was a lot of heat in it and he was in pain. It was not a feather cyst. The tumour was the size of a walnut. He has gone to birdie heaven. :)
