Unfortunately he has also begun to moult whilst breeding so he is on the best of foods right now and I am watching him closely.

Good luck! The chicks are stunning. My green clearbody cock started a really bad moult while in the cabinet, they have been laying and smashing eggs, so no babies to worry about so they are out of the cabinet now for recovery time.

He was annoyed cos I removed a perch and he was flying and wanted to be up the top of the cage :D

hehe spoilt brat bird :D

I want I want I Want!!! :D

They look absolutely gorgeous!

My next bunch should fledge in the next week or so I guess, the middle baby is already popping out of the nest box, twice in last 24 hours (too young). With this cabinet breeding I am still unsure how to go with this. How long do you put dad in the kindy cage for, morning and night? I guess you wait till you see they are all eating on their own before they get to this stage?

Yes I was putting Dad in morning and night but they are eating now, so I went to put him in just for tonight but he didnt want to feed them just wanted to escape. I put him back with his hen. So thats the end of that...they have to eat for themselves which mostly they are doing now anyway

Winners Winners winners That is what I see -

Must be bred into them Neat...unless its the 100 photos you discard just to get one good one :laughter:

Not getting full over here Neat....have awhole lot less than I used to because of no new flights built yet. :bluesbros:

They look great - I agree wth the 100 photos for 1 good one, and most of the time I cant even get that to do the bird justice!

Neat- Kaz's numbers are well well down on what they were, so lots of restocking no worries!!:

Thats what happens when you become more focused on show types and then all your other birds look TINY. You cull hard, and reduce numbers

6 EGGS Golly gosh, there was not wasting time now was there :lol2:

Wow Kaz they are stunning babies, you should be very pleased with them.

One of my hens laid 9 eggs and she sat on them all and every one hatched but as I ringed them I transferred them to foster nest and left her with 4.
