August 3, 200816 yr Author We now have babies My very first show pair It will be interesting to see their colours!
August 4, 200816 yr Author I do!! And that will be yet another first for me - my first club rung babies! (Not to mention the "first" of putting them on lol)

August 7, 200816 yr We now have babies My very first show pair It will be interesting to see their colours! At least one seems to have plum eyes...were they both plum eyed ? Indicates cinnamon amongst other things like recessive. Edited August 7, 200816 yr by KAZ
August 7, 200816 yr Author I havent looked closely at their eyes to be honest, I am just excited about having the babies lol Yes, we have one more baby. According to the "laid and due" calendar, the first two eggs may not hatch. Three is a good number for a first time mummy though
August 7, 200816 yr The plum eyes show only for a few days after hatching, so check and see if they appear plum coloured or black Congratulations on the babies
August 7, 200816 yr Author Well, I looked and I dont know if its cause there is no daylight, and it was under fluro, but they all look black to me. Time will tell though

August 7, 200816 yr Congratulations Sunnie, it will be good to see what they turn out like, best of luck.
August 12, 200816 yr Author I put my first ring on yesterday. It was a bit harrowing to start with, but I think I was lucky my first time and chose exactly the right day to do it, cause it went on easy enough to not have to push (just fiddle a bit) but difficult enough that it stayed on. My first ever club rung show baby! (And I have NO idea yet what it will look like haha)
August 12, 200816 yr I am sure they will be beautiful - Noticed on the picture that the top baby has plum eyes But time will tell
August 24, 200816 yr Author An update on my first 3 show babies Well, those who spotted the plum eyed baby were all correct. The oldest baby is a cinnamon spangle. The middle baby is a green spangle and the youngest is a blue spangle. The oldest The middle child And the youngest - posted 2 pics of her cause she seems to love to pose :budgiedance:
August 24, 200816 yr Very nice babies. The youngest seems to be a violet spangle and possibly male. The other two seem to be hens. BUT it could be the colour thing on here.....time will tell :budgiedance: Edited August 24, 200816 yr by KAZ
August 24, 200816 yr Author Thank you I have to admit I am pretty happy with all three babies and glad I might have at least another hen to go on with. And its nice to know from the pairing, that dad must be split cinnamon and mum must be split blue
