Introducing, Bert

I collected this little guy on the 3rd of july, from a friend of mine that breeds. In hope that he will turn out to be a male, I named him Bert :P He was born on the 22nd of May, making him around 1 and a half months old. Here are a few poor quality photos taken off my phone.

I'm very interested to know what Bert's 'official' colour/s is, if someone could identify this for me.

Thanks

Hi there and welcome :D

Bert is adorable :D and definitely male so his name fits :P

Seems to be a dilute.

:P

Hello and welcome :D

Bert looks like a boy to me - as for his colour, i am not good in that area, but he could be a dilute or a grey wing.

Bert is adorable by the way :P

Wow, thanks for your quick replies :D

I know very little about colour, but after a quick search a while ago and comparison of photos, I too thought he could be a dilute.

The photos don't really do him justice in regards to colour though. He is definately one of the prettiest budgies I've seen :P

Thanks again

Neat, happy birthday for the 22nd ^_^ His wing markings are a light grey colour. His tummy is a cross between grey and a very light purple/blue colour I'd say.

Tam, he is fairly finger tame at the moment, but still has the tendency to fly back into his cage, or on top of my wardrobe, when I get him out.

Thankyou for all your kind welcomes.

Here are a few more photos.

I'll get some better photos that represent his colour truthfully with my camera one day.

best way to get a good shot is to use a macro setting . It's the option that looks like a tulip :D

No flash, and direct sunlight - I agree with libby bert being a mauve greywing - only because 1 i thought the same and 2 I wouldn't 2nd guess her LOL

Enjoy your stay, look forward to seeing more post from you and pics of bert ^_^

he is gorgeous, welcome, we have a contest called Budgie of Month you should submit a photo :D.
