Hi was just wondering if it would be okay to try and pair one of my pet size cocks (Fred Astair) with one of my club size hens (Jordan)

i have mixed Fred with a green before and got some beautiful babies alot like him, but am worried about the size diference, also if i did and it worked what size would the chicks be?

It is fine to breed the different sizes. The chicks should be bigger than dad but smaller than mum - a nice size for a pet type

yes both are budgies and there is no issues if you are breeding for yourself rather than aiming for show.

 

You will only get young ones like Fred again (yellowface type 2) if the hen is split for blue. You will get 50% chance of spangles.
