Posted July 12, 200816 yr I was wondering is there are a certain time of year that budgies will be mating lots. For the past 3 days i have been outside working on the new avairy and everytime i look in the aviary at the budgies there are a couple of pairs at it. It seems to be a bonk anyone time as well, I have brother and sisters at it and half of them are younger than 9 months old. They also seem to be swapping partners as well. I have seen one hen be with 3 different males.Lucky i have cut the log in half so there is no nesting places in there.
July 12, 200816 yr I don't know if they can sense spring on the way, but our recent rains have sent my aviary into a budgie bonking frenzy too. Edited July 12, 200816 yr by **Liv**
July 12, 200816 yr honestly, yes. I have had brothers and sister, mothers and sons, fathers and daughters. My aviary is little purgatory!!!!! Even some male budiges getting themselves agitated, or is it relieving stress, in different parts of the aviary
