okay so work really started today. The sparkey came to put the power point in and we moved a mirror and found out there was already one there :hap: So that saved me some money.

This is what the garage looked like last time we checked in

My Back hurts and I am covered in dust but I feel like I have gotten somewhere today.

I also got my water cooler just need a bottle for it and am now going to go set up the rest of my cages waiting for me to catch the guys early tomorrow morning.

WOW!!! Pop your feet up after that achievement!! Moving all that stuff is hard work. It looks great!! and what a bonus finding a power point!! YEAH :hap:

Doesnt it make you mad when powerpoints hide like that ?! :hap:

:D

Great work on the birdroom :D

Don't get me wrong I do like the cages and I did get them at a good price but they are a stop gap measure and I got what I paid for. My plan was to give one to Buddy and Boof as now they are cage buddies they need a bigger cage but now after having dealt with them he is going to get Skys cage (after I clean the thing like there is no tomorrow!). I am not sure about the breeding boxes finally worked out how the go on and yes they will be easy to clean but I think they will be messy, they have slits cut in the bottom of them so I think I will line the bottom with news paper or something, open for suggestions.

Going to move my guys into the top four cages (keep them out of the dogs range) tomorrow, pairing will be Flame & Blue, Mozzie & Fiji, Cloud & Pretty, Storm & DQ because outside of the last grouping that is how they are paired in the avairy. Not going to put breeding boxes up just hope this will stop any in fighting and keep everyone happy.

The other three cages are currently being used by the Quarantine guys and one of the other stand. I still have one stand in a box but I just can't tonight.

Thats it I am done!

okay Day 2

So got up at some ungodly hour for a weekend and caught all the guys in the avairy, got bitten a few times but finally got them in the holding cages. Glad I did as the builders are using an angle grinder right next to the avairy :D

Few issues, the sparkey did not turn up so will have to get him back during the week. Alan my builder forgot to get the screen door but he did get me for free the back door with has a glass pannel on it so yeah more light. The roof is pretty much done, now we move onto the frame, later today i am going to head down to Bunnings and get the lino and painting stuff so that I can start painting later tonight hopefully or maybe early tomorrow before MB comes to pick me up.

okay going to go help put the frame up for the division. Will check in later tonight

typo....guts into guys

Brilliant !! :D Gee, the ceiling makes a difference doesnt it ?

I am working on my birdroom today too. Takes a lot of time. money and effort. .......but worth it in the end.

PS Bunnings is my home away from home.

WOW!!! Looking brilliant!!!

Where did you get your stack of 8 cages????

We mail ordered them from JJ's Aviaries in Sydney, he couriered them down to us. I also have a set off three cages which are the next size up, plus we got Coop cups and plastic nest boxes from him too.

AV do you want me to ask on freecycle for a screen door for you? If you do just let me know what size your door is.

I have no lights in there so got these cool flood lights from Bunnings for $6 each, Also got a heater and small radio, picked up the lino and paint. I also found mouse and snake wire, it is designed to keep them in so i figure it will work to keep them out, small enough but not to small so if a Budgie gets out they will be safe.

Still needs a second coat, then wire to put but up, roof needs to be painted as well then i will lay the lino...

I am so buggered I just want a shower and bed!

Whos bright idea was it to paint it myself?????:(

:( Your are working so fast!!!! I cant keep up!!!! :D

I am very impressed!!! it Looks brilliant painted!!! Painting bricks is hard work especially if they are thirsty!!!

Yeah i know but I am losing tomorrow to help MB move an aviary so not sure when i will get to do more painting. Oh those bricks are really thirsty I went through 10 liters of paint just doing this bit. There are a few bits that we missed but we litteraly ran out of paint

So going to have to get some more tomorrow or over the week and keep going.

I want to work fast cause I know I will lose intrest if i don't you really don't want to know how many half finished projects I have lying around the house!

MB when i work out what is going where you are more then welcome to come and paint something on the walls! :P

looking good, when I get started on a project I love to just do and get it done, you are probably so excited to get those birds in there too, I know I would be :D.
