I am just wondering if slugs pose any issues when slithering around the bottom of the aviary??? The recent rains have bought them out and i can see their trails around the birds seed and water dishes. Are they a health hazard that i need to get rid of??

I recall hearing that slugs spread diseases but I am not sure of the details

I haven't heard anything like that BUT wouldn't suprise me - I will keep an eye out too ......

LOL Liv, did you pick them up after they squirmed into a dry out prune :)

I used to cry and say sorry when i stood on a snail LOL

only thing worst than the crunch and getting stabbed in the foot by snail shell was feeling a slug ooze in your toes :S

Another bad one was my cat leaving a dead mouse on the front door mat :( We won't go into what happened with that one :D

A good message for anyone - WEAR SHOES OUTSIDE!!!!!! :(:D

I agree, i'm not longer a bum LOL!

Then again i spose all kids think there feet are invincible... until I worked out i'm allergic to bees haha :D

I wouldn't have suggested using your hands Liv lmao :)

Oi ...

I am a bare foot chick ( bum) in summer,

I am a barefoot person but i have learnt it is not a good idea to walk into a chook pen to collect eggs without your shoes. Do you know it is very hard to get the smell of chook poo off your feet.

Me too....I am a barefoot gal myself. BUT I have learnt not to go outside in the dark down to the aviary. Treading in dog poo is NOT MY IDEA OF FUN !!!! :):D

:):D :D

There are so many things to tread in!!! in the middle of the night when i was getting up to my daughter . My dog obviously had a moment of weakness and pooped in the hall...I stepped right in it!! ERRRRR and i was only half awake and it took a moment for me to realise what i had done - Oh the smellll was BAD :X

And the ooozzzing in between the toes like Libb stated .....

Me i don't care about that stuff it's the Binidi's that I hate ..OUCH

My main issue is bee stings. The last time I got stung I was in my bedroom folding washing. The little bugger was mixed in with the clean washing.

BindiI!!

gees Neat  it has an extra *I* :hap: or else it sounds like you're stepping on my dog LOL! Her names Bindi
