Posted July 9, 200816 yr I was changing around the budgie and tiel aviary today, and so therefore took out their hanging food container, so I didn't knock it. When I put it back in, all the birds were fighting over the seed, so I went and filled 2 containers with more seed, and was about to put them on the table for them to eat, when the budgies started landing on it when I was holding them! Then a couple of the tiels did too! I was amazed that these were my AVIARY birds!!! They also eat grass sometimes if I hold it. Cya
July 10, 200816 yr When hungry the birds do that too me also... I don't think it's necessarily a friendly thing (no offence) more of a which will harm us more, starvation or the human friend who delivers the meals... All prons and cons added up to eating off you LOL! They do it also when they really want grasses and so on and you hold it out for them
July 10, 200816 yr This happens in my husbands parrot aviary. As we have handraised some of his princess parrot babies, we get covered in young princess parrots when we enter the aviary, food or not. Some of them try and give us new ear piercings as well Usually we get five green princess parrots on us and a blue princess male that sits on our head.....all at the same time.
