Posted July 8, 200817 yr So I've never had a hen before. I'm finding it an interesting experience... I was sitting, watching the two of them bicker/banter back and forth when Kazoo, sai hen, placed her left foot on Georgie's breast and used it for leverage to lunge in his face and then push off almost like a good kickboxer... What a B----! Although it was very funny and didn't seem to faze him in the least. Boy, hens can sure dish it out...or is this just because she's going through her first moult?
July 8, 200817 yr thoes girls, they can be little bullies :hap: My Latte is giving her two boys attitude too (she is also having a first moult) but i wouldn't worry about any bossiness unless she is creating injury or stress to her partner - it's just normal (budgie) female behavior
July 8, 200817 yr Author She sat there for the first few months making nary a sound, except for a high pitched chirp, single tone. I think now she can compete with some of those metal birds at the airport now for highest decibel levels !! LOL I love her though....she'll come and eat millet on my hand so we are making progress. Don't want to push her too hard right now with the molting though...
