Drowned Budgie?

Featured Replies

Posted

the first budgie i owned, i was about ten or something.

he loved his baths, but i didn't know much about budgies then and when he began to "bathe" in his seed container, we put those lids on it to stop him making such a mess.

it's not really a lid, i dunno what to call it. it's a cover-thing that clicks onto the container, and has a little hole big enough for the birds to fit their head through.

kinda like this - http://www.pet-supply-store.co.uk/prodimages/84522724.jpg except with a smaller hole.

then he began wahsing in his water.

can you see where this is going?

we put that lid-thing on too.

he really, really must of liked baths, cause he tried to fit himself through that little hole, got stuck, and drowned.

so, dun use them.

i aint a budgie expert, but the best things to use, it seems, is those containers - http://www.petco.com/Assets/product_images...4258353847B.jpg

that's all i have, my second/last budgie i owned died of some sickness.:)

mum and dad weren't there to take him to the vet.

wow, good warning, freak accidents do a occur, hugs on the loss

Sorry for your loss, Must have been a young budgie or like Elly said a freak accident - As when S and Margoo were inside ( first owned Birds) they bathed it there water which has the covers on it too. And they are still going strong ( almost 3 now ;) )
