Can Someone Come And Rub My Shoulders Please

It is 8 weeks until our wedding on Sunday. My OH has two jobs, the band and the suits for him and his best man (only one groomsman thankfully) there's only one problem...my OH couldn't organise his way out of a paper bag!

He still hasn't organised his suits despite me telling him for the last three months that it takes two months for them to get them in. This morning he finally went to formal wear shop and started organising them, he phoned me and the conversation went something like this:

Me: Hey

Him: Hey, so I'm at the suit place

Me: So have you found something?

Him: They're so expensive, I don't believe it costs that much to hire a suit!

Me: I told you 6 weeks ago it costs that much, it's not a surprise...so did you find something?

Him: Well luckily they have the suits on the rack but it takes eight weeks to get the vest in

Me: Ummm... you do realise our wedding is IN eights weeks?

Him: Yeah but it's only the vest so it doesn't matter

Me: Argghhhh typical!

Beep, beep, beep....

Yesterday I tried to get him to make some mini strings of fairy lights for on the tables, if it was just before xmas I could buy them but no one stocks them at the moment. Suddnely I was being quizzed whether he should make a board with a program so they flash or flicker, etc, etc. Geez so now our wedding is gonna look like my local fish and chip shop with it's chaser lights going out the front ;) I gave up and organised them myslef.

I may die of stress before the wedding happens!

he sounds like a typical male to me, my hubby is the same. I do hope everything gets organised in time for you so you can have a nice relaxing wedding day. Sometimes i think it is easier to organise things ourselves than wait for our partners to do it.

Relax, and just enjoy the planning - if things don't go to plan, it really doesn't matter! You will still marry the man of your dreams in a beautiful dress, in front of your loved ones. In the big picture it dosen't matter about the finer details of the ceremony....... breathe in...... breath out....... breathe in...... breath out....... breathe in...... breath out....... ;)

MB do you watch How I meet your mother? It has a very good wedding ep. I will bring a copy around for you over the weekend. ;)

My hubby is just like that :rip: . Every Friday he tells me all the things he wants to fix on the house through the weekend and then he ends up watching Tv or sitting at his computer. I've asked him many times not to tell me the plans and rather DO it !!! But NO, he still plans and plans,....and nothing is happening ;)

Luckily our wedding was very simple, so I could organize most things by myself :rip:

Good luck with the suit ;)

Jeans, Suit jacket, white shirt and tie ---- mmmmmmm Nothing wrong with that

Ummm yeah he doesn't even have a suit jacket. The main problem is that his best man is like a 5 or 6XL so it's not an easy walk in and buy it of the rack thing, it does need to be done in advance sothat they can get a large size suit in. It's a really formal venue too so jeans really would look out of place, if we had gone with a park like I wanted then jeans would have been fine

Hmmm you could go 'au naturale' for your theme. Not sure about the 6XL though?

I remember my wedding too and I don't want to go back there hehe....the wedding day was wonderful the planning and the MIL were horrible :D
