The tell that your hen has an egg imminent is that she will get an egg bum, her bum wil look swollen as the egg moves down, it may look like this for a day or two. One of my hens started looking this way yesterday and I knew and there was nothing this morning but tonight when I got home there was an egg

 

The behaviour they are exhibiting is promising but I would guess no egg yet, you will find the hen may disappear into the box nearly permanently for a few days befor she lays an egg.

Hello all

I've fixed my camera and I've taken some pictures of the pairs I have in the breeder cages. Both pairs have been in their 7 days and one pair are always flirting and in the nesting box, but the other pair dont go near eachother and dont go to the nest box.

This is the pair that flirts alot and uses the nesting box frequently. I chose these from my big avairy cause they showed the most affection towards eachother, And I was told they were in breeding condition.
