Posted June 25, 200817 yr I am a tad confused with outcome of one of my best nests of Lutinos. The hen is visual Lutino masking Spangle and the cock is a visual Lutino. I was expecting a nest of Lutinos and maybe the odd Spangle ... instead I have a nest of 4 Albino chicks. I'm not complaining, I have always wanted to breed Albinos BUT How did it happen? Please enlighten me.

June 25, 200817 yr no they are straight albino. Lutino is green series and a blue series bird can't be split for green If you put the chicks to a grey bird you will get grey birds, males will be split for albino Edited June 25, 200817 yr by melbournebudgies
June 25, 200817 yr they're not necessarily straight, some may still be masking spangle. Your lutino's are either split blue or you've confused them with creamino's
