Posted June 24, 200817 yr Some of you may know that I write the odd TV and film scripts in my spare time... I got my latest House script back last week with a letter from NBC Universal stating they could not legally open it for assessment because I don't have an agent. better than a rejection though I am on the search for a reliable agent. My hubby is going to try and hook me up with his Anyways I am starting on my next one and I need some new inspirational music to write to. I have just gotten Coldplay's new album!!! it's awesome!!! Anyone know any other bands/artists with that really modern mellow sound that i should add to my i-pod?? :budgiedance: Edited June 24, 200817 yr by **Liv**
June 24, 200817 yr ASH did Music for Elevators I like that. very cool older but I cold always attempt to get you a copy if you want. Try some of the American Chant music that is nice and mellow and something different otherwise I am on Hevey rock, death metal so not much help there.

June 24, 200817 yr Author ASH did Music for Elevators I like that. very cool older but I cold always attempt to get you a copy if you want. Try some of the American Chant music that is nice and mellow and something different otherwise I am on Hevey rock, death metal so not much help there. I'm going to hunt for Music for Elevators. I vaguely remember ASH.... but i do remember them sounding good :budgiedance: Thanks Personally I am a Nickelback fan - i wrote my last script to Nickelback - It was all about family issues and conflict so it fitted the mood well. This next one is about neonates and heartache so i want to make it really emotionally moving as possible They're not bands, but artists I like are Pete Murray and Dido I love Pete Murray... I completely forgot about him... I like Dido too, but the male voice is my preference

June 24, 200817 yr We are using a not well known taxiride song for our wedding. It's called Voodoo Doll Sin and its about a girl/woman who's had it tough and dreams of something more and the guy in the song making all her dreams come true. The lyrics: She looks like she's been 'round the world In a couple of days A dead flower in her hair And dirt on her face And she says "One of these days I'll do something right" As the light bounces around in her eyes Chorus And I may be a voodoo doll sin Excuse for a man, but I know All of my life I'll give you endless symphonies All through the night I will make all your lies come true Flying high above my head There's a balloon It's jagged path caught by the wind A little too soon And she says "I'll be the string that gets Caught in the trees" And she smiles all the while Time seems to freeze Chorus In between second thoughts You've landed me in pain again And I just can't walk away From these troubled times And leave you here Guitar Solo All of my life I'll give you endless symphonies All through the night I will be waiting...(I will be waiting) All through the night I'll give you everything All your life Edited June 24, 200817 yr by melbournebudgies

June 24, 200817 yr Okay, Music for the easy listener & then some. Oystein Sevag. Some man from Sweden, he gathers a bunch of talented people from all over the world & they produce amazing sounds. I was captured by the Didgeridoo in some of the music. Very nice tunage with no vocals. Give it a look on Youtube. Oystein Sevag produced 2 dics called Global House & Link. Both Excellent. I think there is newer work to date. June 24, 200817 yr Hey Liv: Wow! You're a writer - awesome....me too. Used to work as a journalist but now just for creativity. good luck with the agent search, sounds like you are working on interesting stuff! Massive attack is an interesting mix: some mellow, some kinda black: would work well for another script with conflict> I like all their stuff, Mezzanine is an interesting one done more recently It's interesting to me that you write to music...one of the exercises we did in my writing group recently was to write to Bach's organ music and it was such a cool experience!
June 24, 200817 yr l personally like Darling Violetta, but it is more of a gothic type music. l enjoy their song for the theme music of the show "Angel", http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJzQPryWuXo . l also like the music of Israel Kamakawiwo, his type is more mellow and hawaiian. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OMLoAtC9RY...feature=related

June 25, 200817 yr Hey Liv if you pm me your email I"ll send you the taxiride song that I have, it's nearly impossible to track down and I have actually had to contact the band directly to find out where to get it as it wasn't officially released in Aus. But I think it is a really moving song, with a great sound.
