June 21, 200816 yr BRILLIANT SHOTS!!!! What camera do you use?? do you edit the photos to create the (really cool) blur, or is it your cameras focus???
June 21, 200816 yr Author Thanks Liv. I have a Nikon D60. The blurred effect is created by the setting of the aperture to a faster f-stop on the camera. The link below is from a photography web site which explains depth of field which may be of interest. http://www.camerahobby.com/EBook-DepthField_Chapter18.htm BRILLIANT SHOTS!!!! June 21, 200816 yr Author Thank you Elly, I have. wonderful pictures, I do hope you submited one for Budgie of the Month
June 21, 200816 yr Those are great pics! They are so cute How do the three of them get along? I was thinking of getting another baby in the future, but I heard they need to be in pairs or they'd fight, what's your experience?
June 21, 200816 yr Author Thank you. I have 4 now and they all seem to get along fine. Some get on better together than others because they all have different personalities. When I introduced my 3rd one Balki to my first 2 George and Franklin they found it hard to accept him and would peck at him if he got close to them or ignore him but it took a bit of time till they accepted him. From what I've heard Budgies are not always in pairs and they sometimes tend to mix and change partners. There is always a risk in getting a budgie that does not get along with other budgies. I think it's luck and depending on the temperament of the budgie. Those are great pics! They are so cute How do the three of them get along? June 21, 200816 yr Start with young birds, their habits are easier to set in as adult birds aren't always so flexible with their "learning"
