Posted June 19, 200817 yr okay so a bit down today and then Lemon and Lime come to my resuce.... Lemon is trying to get Lime to breed with her so she is rubbing him and trying to push herself under him and he will not have a bar of it and is yelling at her So she went and was all "I am not talking to you" in the corner of the cage so he goes and gets some food and tries to feed her and she will not take it and then finally gives in there are resting their heads together beak to beak sort of like how a couple hug when they are both making up with the other person and saying sorry..... It is so super cute... this was why I had to get the pair cause they are just to cute together and so bonded that it would have been a shame to split them up! It so cute I think I am going to cry but in a good way.... I so need to go to bed.
June 19, 200817 yr Author she busted through the block on the box a few days ago and then shreded the cardboard so I removed it and put wood shaving in there. I figure she did all that work she is determined to have a baby so she can have one or two so the breeding box is there now she is pushing for sex but I think Lime is scared of being a dad!

June 19, 200817 yr It's funny, when we are sad, depressed Budgies and Kids too ( sometime lol ) know how to make us smile again .....
June 19, 200817 yr that is so cute, the one thing i love about my budgies is that whenever you are feeling down you can got and spend time with them and they are so relaxing to sit and watch.

I SOOOO agree!! My two "feathered kids" keep me from getting lonely (I'm a live alone grandmother). When I go away sometimes with work (a day or two) I come home and my flat is filled with love. Charley keeps me entertained for hours and when I make eye contact with him its on! I have to go to the cage and give him a cuddle. Otherwise he complains bitterly .. and loudly!! I read on here once that budgies dont enjoy being "stroked" but I find Charley LOVES it. He comes to the side of the cage and puts his little head against it for me to gently scratch him, he turns his head around so that I dont miss any bits! When he's on my finger he snuggles right up to my face, letting me put my nose in his feathers... (he smells so nice!! like real "fur"!!). Maxie doesnt like me too close to her cage but I still always chat to her for a while. She sits totally motionless (terrified) until i leave the cage then she occasionally lets out a quiet chirp. I'm sure its her way of saying she loves me too!! I would be more than a little lonely without my two! :hap:
