June 10, 200816 yr Congratulations! Can i ask what the cock bird looks like that you have paired her with? My Ringo looks exactly like her, but he would be old enough to breed for another 6 months and right now i dont know who to pair him with - as he seems to be quite the "tart" of the aviary!.

June 10, 200816 yr Author she is more of a cobalt then violet in life maybe a cobalt violet ... oooooo I am looking forward to more blue babies and the dad being grey is even more better :D Edited June 10, 200816 yr by Neat
June 10, 200816 yr she is more of a cobalt then violet in lifemaybe a cobalt violet ... oooooo I am looking forward to more blue babies and the dad being grey is even more better :D The df dom pied often have a more concentrated colour over the rump area, so maybe thats why I saw her as violet. She would be the blue you see then

June 11, 200816 yr Oh arn't the babies ugly when they first come out (except for the 'mum/dad')! lovely mum
June 14, 200816 yr Author Heya, I went out this morning, ( before tj went to netball) to take pics, and the No3 baby was dead underneath the other babies..... Yes! I did the whole breath thing with it, to no avail it was warm but lifeless ( or shriveld and flat) But I didn't have hopes for this one yesterday... As when it hatched, it was alot paler then the others. This is a usual sign it of something wrong either illness or not ment to be ( however I think i remember reading here that a members paler one survived?) - But on the possamistic side of things ( hehe BB) there are 3 healthy looking babies in there. As well as in the other nest there are 5 healthy looking babies too with lots of colors ... I will have to recharge the camera as i got to take one picture then the batteries died .....
June 14, 200816 yr Author The 3 babies ...... ( Yes one had an air pocket .... this is why) A very well fed chick.... I am happy that she is a good mummy;D Mum & Dad
