If you find infertile eggs in the clutch do you remove them or leave them with the hen till all of the eggs hatched.

me too I leave them until 1 week after the last one hatched

i leave them as they could still be fertilised, but not developed yet... if nearing the end of the clutch hatching time when babies will be born from the fertile eggs and it's still clear i'll remove it

is it her first round??? sounds like she needs to try again, perhaps with a different male

Yes first round, all 5 clear as - she is paird with Violet pied,also first timer so I will try them again

i suppose i am lucky, this is my pairs first round and out of 7 eggs only one is infertile.

Time to toss those eggs then :)

I wait until the 4th egg has been laid and check for fertility with a small torch I have for this purpose. Usually the hen will lay eggs every 2nd day and you should start to see blood vessels forming in the egg as of the 4th day or so. About 5 days later I check again and toss the clear eggs.
