Posted June 9, 200817 yr Grey and Violet are Dominant over all colours????? ( this seems odd as I have always learnt that green ( yellow is ) Blue & Yellow ( white & Greens) are Dominant over greywings This book is really getting me confused It also says that a SMALL dot at the back of the head is Clearflight gene???? Ummmmm spelling corrections made ...Kaz Edited June 9, 200817 yr by KAZ
June 9, 200817 yr The small dot is the recessive gene... Grey and violet are factors... but i'm pretty sure they're dominant... or atleast I know grey is... And greywing is a gene of it's own which is recessive, so No idea what they're on about there...?

June 9, 200817 yr Author My spelling is that of a 1st grader so I have excuses :Dand Yeah it is a budgie book, I reckon time to trade the thing in it is OLD .... Really Old .... So old that the price of it is in shillings .....I think i will upgrade this is the one that was on the Good books to buy list here ...SO YOU CAN SCRATCH THAT ONE OFF lolLMAO - okay i figured it out, since this book is sooo old and behind the times, the New mutations, and reseach hasn't been invented yet so that is why it is a **** book ( Wow if only i could go back in time I would be a "TOP BREEDER" who bred new mutations hahahahahahah * keeps dreaming) .... June 10, 200817 yr Grey and Violet are Dominant over all colours????? ( this seems odd as I have always learnt that green ( yellow is ) as libby saids they are factors, yellow is the dominant gene but if combined with the grey gene the bird will appear grey-green. Blue & Yellow ( white & Greens) are Dominant over greywings again this is mixing the colour gene of the bird to another recessive gene. any normal bird (blue or green) will be dominant over the greywing gene as it is recessive and needs one gene from each parent to appear.
