Hi everyone, im back in budgiedom after a long time not visiting the site. For an update, last time i was here I bought a beautiful opaline spangle hen from Libby, and at the moment she is sitting on three eggs :o . I am very excited as this is my first clutch (though not hers) and after so much research :book: they are finally here!

Both me and my little boy Zo are a bit dazed and confused :hap: , but monie has the situation all under control :D Soon I will have plenty of birds top fawn over! :feedbirds: The first egg was laid on the 29th of May.

Yeahhh eggs ..... I hope you get plenty of fertile ones

Welcome Back, do you have a picture of the parents?

Welcome back I hope you have lots of luck with your eggies.

Congrats Loreli!!!!

I'm glad they settled down in the end :hap: Even after their differences in the start hehe :D

Have you checked for fertility?

no I havent im too scared to pick them up! however this morning the first one hatched  yay tiny little pink thing tehe. They are both taking good care of it. Id like to take a photo but im scared that Ill upset mum... and what do you thing about contact with me, id like them to be tameit all looks easier written down but i dont want to do anything wrong! :oBy The Way there are five eggs now! (four and a baby)

congratulations :) !!!!

I'm VERY glad to hear you got your bubs in the end and she did well for you -_-

You know where I am if you need any help at all :D

most people handle them from day 1, it all depends on the mother though and if she's accepting of it, which I'd say she is

Love to see pictures - maybe once you're brave enough (or once the bubs are cute little feather balls). ;)

I have a picture or two of the hen, If we manage to get the pictures retrieved off our crashed hard drive...

The cock was a green recessive pied ;) And a very cute one at that :hap:

Aww...he sounds cute. I used to not think much of "green" budgies but now I think I like them more than blue budgies. I love green dominant and recessive pieds now, as long as its the right green ;) . (Don't tell my budgies though: I have a normal light green and a normal cobalt).

Alright !!!! Congrats on the hatchling

It's seems like breeding is in the air...
