i hope I posted this right - This is Buddy's friend, Charlie Murphy, about 7 weeks old - yet to determine if male/female.

I do, I just have to put them on my computer - this photo was taken about a month ago - I'm just happy I was able to post a photo - it's not too big is it?

It's fine You could make it a bit bigger even

Photo size is great - It can be almost twice the size if you like 640x480 is the maximum picture size

I'm about to put some on the computer to post, the cere is blue but there is white around the nostrills. He did have scaly face and has finalised his treatment about 3 weeks ago.

More pics - still can't really see the cere properly, but it is blue with little bit of white on nostrills. He is about 3 months old now - but this photo was taken a while ago. I'll get a more recent photo tonight.

from your description of Charlie Murphy l would say a hen.

Yeah I think you're right. He is still young - we shall see !

A clear photo like the one you took of Buddy will help us with Charlie

Buddy is Male, if Charlie cere doesn't look like his then you have a hen

The picture where she is eating makes her cere look like a hens

i'd say hen as well and very cute.

Not always a sure way to tell however a male cere when young is usually alot rounder while a hens maybe more flatter I was reading my new book last night " Breeding budgies" By Cyril rogers it's an old book but a goodie ,
