I was out in the aviary just a few minutes ago, checking my last clutch out there and giving one of the babies a cuddle that has just fledged. My gorgeous clearwing, Harrison, has done this before, but no others has followed. He runs over to my feet when I am standing still and nibbles on my shoes! Today, I stopped and let him have a good play, being quite amused myself and his girlfriend Sparkles decided to join in on the play too. They were on top of my shoes, chewing my laces and the trim on the shoes and nibbling at the bottom of my pants. Before, long others wanted to play too and some of them were actually squabbling a little and vying for position!! It was the funniest thing. One of them was on top of my foot when I decided to move.........carefully. I lifted my foot slowly and put it a step in front. He just went along for the ride. Harrison and Sparkles decided they would hitch a ride with my left foot! When I decided to leave the aviary, I made sure they had all flown off and I moved my feet too quickly for them to want to chase them. I'm going to take the camera out next time and see if I can get piccies. My budgies wont land on me, but they will play with my feet :hap:

Says a lot when your aviary budgies trust you so, doesn't it ? :hap:

What do you walk through to get to your aviary??? Looks to me like they can taste something yummy on your shoes. do you walk though fresh grass or soil etc on the way to visit them????
