i have to get a new cage for the chicks unfortunately the bar spacing is not the right length one of the chicks is able to put its head through the bars i'm watching very closely and so far its okay, but i am gonna get a new cage for them

thanks liv said that i can use aviary mesh. what does it look like? i know i can get it at hardware stores, but i want to get the right type

now i need help in finding a cage thats big and has the correct bar spacing i'm gonna sell this cage, so someone can use it for bigger birds. what should the measurements be for the 3 budgies?

if the bar spacing is under 13mm at the VERY most, then you will be okay :hap: . any bigger and you will back where you started

Also, Take a tape measure with you and check the spacing for yourself, don't take their word for it because they often get it wrong

thankyou unfortunately the cage i have now is a tiel cage :hap: and i can fit my fingers through the bars, but not on the one in the pet shop the bar spacing on the cage i have now is 1inch :hap:

The spacing does look a little too wide in that picture. ....and YES....do not take the advice of petshop staff ...they always get it wrong.Can you post larger closer pictures of the babies please ?.........oh, and if you get some split plastic legrings for the babies which are coloured, you can put a different colour on each ones leg so you know who is who

petvalu has the same cage for alot cheaper i'm going later on today to go look at it and put a deposit on it. it comes with a stand, so i can move the budgies back in the livingroom, they are in my bedroom right now :hap: and my friend has bought the cage they are in for her lovebird :hap: she will get the cage next saturday when i buy the new cage
