June 3, 200816 yr I had a look at the pics the other day, but today they look so much better!! Still love the spots on the crested:)
June 14, 200816 yr Great pics, It's so hard to get birds to show standard. I have heard a lot of badluck stories from guys who had a lot of there birds drop tails. Especially out west W.A and S.A where the lack of rain has said to have had a huge effect on the budgies. One guy I have spoken to lost over half his team. A lot of luck involved! Even if you get them there they can drop tails or drop dead, as happened to one prominent breeder. One thing in the pics annoys me, a lot of them have that lump on the back of the neck that is a major fault carried over from the long flighted budgies of the past. I hope that is not the case! and just the camera angle or something like that. Bob Smiths blue was said by many to be the best budgie they had ever seen! And to be blue when many of the best of the past are Grey green.
June 18, 200816 yr I am sure once you tell me the error is going to be like hitting me over the head with a dead fish but huh Also I LOVE LOVE LOVE that normal blue *thinks of ways to steal him* :hap: He reminds me of my dads when I was young but a lot better (no offence to my dad but his where just not to that standard)
June 18, 200816 yr Author There was no best adult or best young bird. Only the types such as normal, spangle, pied, clearwing etc.
June 19, 200816 yr You know when you look at somthing and you just don't get it untill someone points it out to you! It sucks....
