congratulations Erin, she is a cute cat.

Hi folks:

(Just to give you a little context)...So here I am, attending a conference in the big city of Toronto (maybe I should go look for Nick Nack?), checking my email on my wireless, only to find out I have the honours of winning this photo contest. So I will try to fill you in! Teacup is a calico stray I fostered for the pound a few years back who has always stayed in my heart because she was an absolutely fearless little street fighter who obviously had needed too eke out an existence on her own, despite her small size (she weighed 3 pounds when I got her). Sometimes this fearlessness led her into peril, such as the moment right after this picture was taken and she rolled right off the top of my stereo (and landed on her feet of course). She used to like to sleep on my other cat's head (which Sammy, of a milder temprament, did not always appreciate). If she was a person, she would be the kind people turn around and take notice of when she walked into a room...she had flair, and a knack for being memorable as you can see! In this picture, she is doing what cats do best a) stretching :o telling their owners to hurry up and give them a scratch on the tummy!

what a sweetheart, did she finally get adopted?

She sure did...she's with a mom and her son in her forever home now, which is wonderful (although I must admit, I'd of loved to have kept her).

That is wonderful Erin, the foster parents are the hardest parents to be I believe you get so attached but then in the back of your mind you have to say they were never really yours to keep.
