May 21, 200817 yr Generally most breeders do not breed opaline to opaline as opalines tend to increase markings. So you may get heavily flecked birds ( a trait of opalines ) and you may get heavier markings through the back as well. The traditional way to breed opalines is to a clean headed normal ( not flecked on the head ). Kaz,That is what I should of wrote,To all if you want to breed show birds,Buy Beg or Borrow, one of the good budgie books, written by the top breeders. It will help you to understand, what to mate to what.If you just want to breed for the fun of it.Put them all in the melting pot & wait for the results.
