My budgie doesn't want to come out of it's cage late in the day. He starts snapping at my finger before it even gets anywhere near him.

What should i do.

He is probably tired and ready to wind down for the evening... All birds have up times and down times.... Check his routine and see if its a time when he is resting. If it is, try holding him at another time of the day, or altering his resting times with more light in the evening and less in the morning etc

Make sure the room he is in doesn't get dark by keeping plenty of light in there. If he thinks it is getting towards night time he is probably telling you that he is getting ready for bed and he doesn't want to get off hs sleeping spot.

I agre with the others Bailey my semi tame budgie does that at night times.

I told my son this too, but will he listen to Dad....NO..... So thanks for the input. When he gets up in the morning I will make sure he reads your coments.
