Posted May 10, 200817 yr I checked this morning at about 9am and still four eggs, checked just now and we only have three eggses and 1 chick! I have taken a photo so I'll post it up when I have a chance.
May 10, 200817 yr Author Fingers crossed :DI suspect that it might be a small clutch though as atleast one of the other eggs in there is clear so at the most there will be three.....just checked the other three there are two with definate wriggling babies inside and one definately clear. Since this is the second time I have checked that one and found it clear I have chucked it.
May 10, 200817 yr Congrats MB, Can't wait to see pics oh and please post of the parents too ......Thanks ....
May 12, 200817 yr Author Beleive it or not atleast one from this clutch is already sold, someone that took one from my last clutch recommended me and the person is happy to wait for a baby from me
May 13, 200817 yr Author Three days after number one the second has finally arrived, now I don't know whether to still expect the next tomorrow or whether it will be Thursday or even Friday before we see it. You don't realise how much they grow in just three days until you see the size difference! He is about half the size of the first one.
May 13, 200817 yr Awww... I love hearing about baby budgies... they are always so cute.... can't wait to see pics...
May 16, 200817 yr Author This is the first baby at two hours old Sorry I haven't posted more, life has kinda got in the way the last week one of those four eggs was clear and the third and final hasn't hatched so might be DIS This first one is now starting to get dark pin feathers showing under the skin so we are looking forward to fluff soon Edited May 16, 200817 yr by melbournebudgies

May 16, 200817 yr Author When that baby was born there was still a live moving baby in the other two eggs, maybe that one is the clear one?
May 16, 200817 yr Author Well it's done that now, how sad when I know it was alive only a couple of days ago I'm 99% sure that slightly smaller, darker one you are referring to is the clear one in that photo. Guess we will just have the two babies this time around. This is their first clutch for quite a while and despite the issues with the eggs they are good parents so I might let thm go again. I am hoping they'll give me a df spangle
May 16, 200817 yr I hope you get them too .... I love playing the waiting game to see what they are? I even have a name for you Edited May 16, 200817 yr by Neat
May 16, 200817 yr Author Are the very first pin feathers that start to show up kind of under the skin before they break through dark on dark birds and light on light birds or do they always look dark?...if that made any sense! The older one has definately got the dark flecks under the skin which will be the pin feathers starting, should start to see some on the younger one ina couple of days.
May 16, 200817 yr Chase ( Violet Norm) he was Black when starting to feather up and he is my darkest bird But first feathers were white and black so I haven't really paid attention to that I wait to see the color lol So YAHTZEE & UNO coud be good names you never know what you're gonna get >>>>>
