I was thinking about varnishing the wood on my avairy to make it look nicer, but i dont know if its harmful or not does anyone know?

Yes OMg tha is horrible for birds my friend varnished the floors once and the smell was sooo strong it killed it and also if the lick the varnish it has certain metals which can weaken the birds and even kkill them!

I know you can get water based varnish now that is not suposed to smell or be harmful if eaten. might be worth looking into something like that if you can
