Not sure he is an opaline, but I agree with the rest

Dave do you think maybe the pied is jsut covering up the neck markings? That could definately give a bird that looked a little opaline but wasn't really. Notice that I edited - the opaline was an afterthought

I think it's a he and is a yf2 recessive pied

Don't know about opaline. Opaline would show blue in the wings not the yellow suffusion.

i would want a better shot of the cere to say for sure him or her. the flash may have affected the colour

I answeres this in the welcome post Steve to you about training etc...

i agree, YF2 Recessive pied sky.... not an opaline... many rec pieds will be missing those markings as normal.
