The style of birds you have now has changed since your fist ones eh ? B)

I have looked for any birds that might have your name on them Kaz, I really have, and I am either a post-grad teacher who cannot read, or none of them have your name on, no matter what you may think - :bliss:

There is a definite change between my first birds and these ones.

Might even have to put a few in a show cage soon.

Some new :) below

If there is one thing that my avairies ahve ahd to be, it is mobile. My fences, barring a disaster, will get done on Wednesday, so all the birds were once more moved out of the aviary.

Brushwood fences are to be replaced with Colourbond fences.

If you played the game, you would have noticed in the last picture sitting on top of a nestbox is a DF Hen, looking for somewhere to lay

She was caught and returned to her cage - no idea how she got out though.

At least with colourbond fences there will be less mice. Mice love that brush fencing to breed and live in :P

Oh wow Dave, they are brilliant! Good job! :P

Well, my stepfather and I cut some veyr narrow channels to assist with any water for run off on the aviary slab, but outside of the aviary.

We then, with some help from some neighbours, moved the aviary back into position. I karchared (high pressure water blastered) the aviary. It is drying now and this afternoon I will use a gap filler to completely seal the bottom of the aviary. As it stands, it should be ready in the morning, say 7am for the birds to return to their home. I cannot wait.

Your fences look great and I'm sure your birds are going to love getting back into the aviary. Great Job!

Most birds are back in the aviary now, with only 1 cage of birds left.

I had to cut the ring off one 08 cock today and tomorrow I will strap his foot to prevent infection. Not sure what I should put on it first though. Betadine? Thoughts?

I have a few others with some little health problems, so i am looking at them before they are returned to the aviary.

I also recorded all my ring detaild today, and had a good look at my birds. I am going to start thinking about my first cull.

There are a few to go, so we will see how that develops.
