October 16, 200816 yr Author They are looking like they are having a ball Dave! lucky little birds! I won't show Lip or Len they might escape and fly up to your house... Lip and Len look like great birds. I would let them straight in - after quarnatine of course - LOL!!!!!!!!!!1
October 19, 200816 yr Author Some more photo updates. Deb and I are doing a trade. I am moving away from pet type birds and she is after some pieds, so we are swapping some. Trust me, there has been a long conversation. Anyway, here are some pics of the birds Deb is getting next Satruday. Mozzarella - brother to the 4 2 pieds and 2 yellow faces deb received earlier in the year. Unlike his recessive sky blue brothers, he is cobalt Mel - the picture does not do her justice but she i a violet cobalt - electric in colour. She has paired up well with Macaroni - uncle to Mozzarelle Maccaroni- looks almost identical to his brother and nephews. Sorry deb, good luck telling these guys apart. i cannot. Mozarella and Genevieve - Genevieve is sister to my DF dom pied and Gabrielle (Pale Ale), daughter of an Albino and Hugo, a DF Dom pied Ozzie - Ozzie i a rehomed budgie, but still very young. His owners went overseas to England to live. He bonds well with other birds and is a real cutie. Kaui - (means beautiful in hawaiian I think). She looks like a dark eye creamino, but in actuality she is a YF2 mauve pied with very little markings. I would say that she would be a DF dom pied due to her lack of markings, but that is impossible as mother was an Albino split to recessive mauve pied, whilst father was a yellow faced blue splangle, not sure what he was split to and now will never know.
October 19, 200816 yr Very beautiful budgies Dave, i am very happy with the trade. I will see you saturday then.
October 19, 200816 yr Author I took a few more pics, but i want to keep the pics of Deb's new birds seperate, so here is mix of some that are staying and going.
October 25, 200816 yr Author Thanks Elly and Jodie. I do like the different colours. Well, today is was so hot, I decided to cool my aviary down with a spray of the hose, on a mist setting of course. Here are some shots. I will name the birds, so previosu owners can see their loved ones. Big Bird (one called Boof by Missylu) Tam (her owners are on a 9 month sailing adventure) The youngest coupling in the aviary - Geo the Journeyman with Gabrielle (Pale Ale). If these 2 had kids, imagine the stories they could tell their kids on their lives. Hose Me!!! Said Nibbler, no me, said Lego Boof - soaked Pegasis - soaked Aphrodite "New pin feathers hurt!!!" Gabrielle and Aphrodite - Pale Ale is now fully grown!! Bette - the boss of all below her - hey look, someone's eating, it is true!!!! Punchy and Lego - always together, will breed at the first chance given. Edited October 25, 200816 yr by Dave_McMinn
October 25, 200816 yr I love the wet budgie hanging on the cage that would be an awesome caption picture. Dave I think I could sit in your aviary with a chair in the morning and drink my coffee and enjoy all the doing of your birds, they look wonderful and the aviary looks so awesome inside. :party0011:.
