why does George have a spot on his head?

a small spot indicates now that the budgie is split for the recessive pied gene

Merlin has a very large spot on the back of his head which indicates he is a dominante pied

I agree with Elly, the small spot indicates that your bird is split for [carrying the Recessive Pied gene].

:sad: 3 of my budgies have that spot on their heads.
