Is my budgie Bailey lonely because he regurgitated to his mirror and he makes me feel bad. And also im just wondering if budgies can fall in love with more than one budgie?

 

Lumina and George are my breeding pair and Bailey and Lumina kiss and feed each other and george and Lumina do the same but try to breed. But I dont want them to breed yet but I'm just wondering and feeling bad so is he lonely.

Bailey is seeing the other budgie in the mirror as a partner, mirrors are not good because budgies can become very obessed with them, possessive, and feed them like he is. I would suggest removing the mirror and you will see a difference in his social behavior with the other budgies. He may call for the mirror for a couple days but after that he will be okay. Mirrors where thought to be good back then but now have been proven to create unwanted behavior and obession.

i took it out a while ago because i felt bad and now he seems to just want Lumina and hes always looks lonely so im just wondering

when given a choice budgies will want to be with other budgies especially if they are around in a different cage
