Problems I Have Faced

Thanks all. A very good idea I was told was to have an Aviary Diary.

You just note what you have done each day.

eg Monday - Fed Seed coated with CLO to flight. Fed Seed with Breeding aide to Breeders.

Water - Clean with avicleans and iodine.

Tuesday .....

Wednesday .....

If then the birds are sick you can take this diary with you to the vet and they can see what has been going on.

You don't need to write essays, just notes.

Ouch!! 14 birds a $260 hen gone.

Don't beat ya self up too much Daz! Every ones been stung by over adds!

I give GLO before the breeding season and again after, a week each time. That's it!

Even though you lost some of your best birds, think of it as a new adventure! a chance to start afresh. "A word of warning" don't radically change what you do! You birds don't want a knee jerk reaction to a simple oversight. Just make slight mods in key areas. Or your birds and breeding will go backward.

Daz real sorry to hear about your loss, I am glad you worked out what the problem was and everything is back on track. good luck for the future with your lovely birds.

I had 2 deaths this week, within 2 days of one and other, the vet hasn't rang yet with the results.

Well Daz I hope everything goes well for you now.

Well in a way it is a lesson on what not to do and also Culled the weak. The rest of the birds should be better off with the knowledge I have learnt and there health should be better.

TB she gave me 11 chicks.

:) Pearce, I know what are going through....

.... I stuck with it and was help by a very good Breeder and now very good friend, Gary Armstrong.

It's easier to walk away but more satisfying when you've beaten it.
