Vege Problem

My Bugdie "Blue" started eating his friut and vegetables when i got him home, his fav carrot, corn and peas. Recently i had to change the food dishes cause they were going yucking even though i clean them regularly. Now he will only eat his fav veges out of the bowl. What should i do should I try and get a bigger, less deeper bowl for him???? I have tried sprinkling seed onto it but he still won't eat it.

:hap: Glad Blue is enjoying his fruits and vegetables. However, they should be removed within a few hours if they are going "yucky" which frequently happens in warm climates and can lead to bacterial growth. :feedbirds:

It's not the veges that go yucky cause i remove them after a couple of hours its the food container itself. I wipe it out everyday and disenfect it weekly but it gets build up in the corner and i can never seem to get it out so i buy new containers every know and then.

Have a look in Coles supermarkets...where they sell their white china bowls etc. They sell little saucer type dishes designed as a sauce dish...like a half sized white saucer...costs under a dollar and they are great for things like seed and vegies. White china and easy to clean. All my breeder cages have them.

If the problem is that he doesn't like his new bowl try putting it next to his old one with just small amount in the old one and most of the food in the new one then once he gets the idea take the old one out.

Try getting a new bowl in the same colour as the old one... looking as similar as possible. It may help him adjust to the new bowl and take to his old veggies.
