Cleaning Nesting Boxes......

Im just wondering, how do you clean a nesting box that has eggs in it? Can u move the eggs into another nest box and put that nest box up where the soiled one was or will moving the eggs be disturbing.

You shouldn't really need to, the parents are unlikely to mess the box and the eggs certainly won't! If you have to then just gently take the eggs out and put them on a warm towel and then clean quickly, put the eggs back in and put it back in the same spot.

Cleaning a nestbox becomes more necessary when the chicks that hatch are around 2 weeks of age onwards. Until then its best to leave it alone.
