Posted April 25, 200817 yr I feed Blue muslie cereal and he loves it but recently on this site I found out it's bad and should never be feed to budgies, is this true and should i stop feeding it to him?
April 25, 200817 yr it is bad as they're higher in vitamins and minerals than what a bird needs... and as they say there's too much of a good thing... Keep him to seed and fresh fruit and veg, he'll be much better off
April 25, 200817 yr Just agreeing yes cereal, pasta, breads are bad they are also very high in salt content.
April 25, 200817 yr A lot of mueslies have added oils and sugars and are baked in the oven for crispness...so check the additives of anything you give your bird that was meant for human consumption.
