July 18, 200816 yr Author I would love to have second child as soon as possible, so they are similar ages, but I don't think I would be able to do it now, I barely get time to do house work now So I have to wait a bit longer till Benny can at least play by himself for a while My sister's second son is 6 months old and she is thinking about the third one - bud she said "one day, when the boys are bigger". I guess she is hoping for a girl Elly, I also know Benny is cute. The magazines don't know what they missed Neat, if that's true (with getting cuter and cuter) I should watch out, soon some girls might steel my little boy away :hap:
July 28, 200816 yr He’s looking good Zebra, despite what you say about having no time, the fact that your thinking of breeding Budgies again, must mean you have got this baby thing under control. Sadly Zebra no matter what you do one day some girls will “steal him” away from you…& you wouldn’t want it any other way. You have a few years of enjoyment yet. Although when you look back on it, I tell you they fly. My eldest daughter turned 39 the other day, I told her I can't believe it.
July 29, 200816 yr Oh Zebra... he is a spunk and it looks like he has his head raising thing figured out too. Very cute pictures
July 29, 200816 yr Author Thanks guys Norm, it's better now. But some days he wouldn't stop screaming if I don't hold him
July 29, 200816 yr Thanks guys Norm, it's better now. But some days he wouldn't stop screaming if I don't hold him Sometimes it’s hard, the problem is at that age all they love is their Mum, slowly their world expands, I guess all you can do is give them plenty of love & make them feel secure.
July 29, 200816 yr Thank you for sharing photos of your beautiful new son...he's very cute. Hope mom and baby are doin fine and you aren't too sleep deprived!
July 30, 200816 yr Author Sometimes it’s hard, the problem is at that age all they love is their Mum, slowly their world expands, I guess all you can do is give them plenty of love & make them feel secure. I know Thank you for sharing photos of your beautiful new son...he's very cute. Hope mom and baby are doin fine and you aren't too sleep deprived! Not anymore, he sleeps quite well most of the time and he sleeps in our bed, so it's easier to feed him at night, I don't have to get up He is so gorgeous Zebra and he looks like Mum. I know he does, everybody says so :hap: , and I was hoping he'd look just like his daddy :hap: (maybe the next one will )
July 30, 200816 yr He is so gorgeous Zebra and he looks like Mum. I know he does, everybody says so :hap: , and I was hoping he'd look just like his daddy :hap: (maybe the next one will ) I have 5 boys and they all look like I did when I was younger - I always wondered if that meant that I was an ugly girl or that I had pretty boys??
July 30, 200816 yr Ahhhhhh It is just cutenessville !!!!! My kids were ugly when they were little ... ( HA HA Very funny guys) - Now there are cutie little pains in the butts
July 30, 200816 yr My niece is exactly like Benjamin. She needs to be held by her Mum all the time and can't be left if she wants to pee or take a shower. I have baby sat her several times now. The first, I had to call my sister to come home as she was hysterical for over an hour, the second time she was in bed... but she decided to do a poo, so I had to change her. She was VERY unimpressed when I went up to get her. She was hysterical, but I managed to change her and even got her back to bed (in just over an hour). I was very proud of that!!! The last time I babysat with Mum and Dad. She was again hysterical when my sister and her hubby left, but she settled down in about 10 minutes. She had her moments (especially when we had to change her nappy!), but in the 5 hours we looked after her, she was pretty good. I think it's an age thing and I do believe she'll grow out of it... as will Benjamin. He is a sweetie and as I said before, I'm glad things are going well
July 30, 200816 yr OMG, I remember that with Talia, couldn't leave the room, We had to make sure that I wasn't the only one that had 24 /7 she ended up getting use to others being with her and then me not being there .....
July 30, 200816 yr Author He even cries more when I'm looking at him , so I always have to act like he is not there when I need to do something...He is quite cheeky little boy And one day he'd scream even when I was holding him and as soon as hubby took him, he stopped , I felt horrible . And he did the same with my mum. But I hope it's just the fact I'm with him 24/7, so they are more interesting for him Denise, I've heard the boys are more like mums and girls more like dads. Maybe it's true . And I'm sure you were NOT an ugly girl !!! Maesie, I think Benny is getting spoiled I don't know what he would do with someone else, I didn't leave him to anyone yet. I want to wait till he is bigger I'm happy we got a rocker, that's the only way I can cook, shower,....
July 30, 200816 yr My wife & I used to got out eating, mainly Chinese food about once a month, but when our first girl arrived she was 2 years old before we were game to go anywhere. The first time we went to a restaurant, by the time the food had arrived she was screaming & the poor waitress tried to pacify her while we bolted down our food & rushed home again. Don’t think we went anywhere for a long time after that. Our kids were like watch dogs too, if strangers came visiting they scream their heads off…the fun of raising a family.

Once Benny started screaming in a shop, so my husband took him outside and I've quickly finished the shopping and we went home :hap: . But we've learned from it - never go shopping in the afternoon, now we go early morning when Benny is still sleepy . But I'm not going to test the restaurant Edited July 31, 200816 yr by Zebra
July 31, 200816 yr Boys, Girls they all love their moms, I find birth order is where the factor comes in the first one always had mom and then the 2nd one dad tends to pitch in more so they are used to dad more, in the end mom is always the soother. As for Benny, this is natural part of him growing he is aware of you gone now and it is only normal for a baby to cry (just like baby budgies) when they want their mom. What helps this is to get them socialized very soon in life I did it with both my kids. I started taking both my kids to mom and me classes at 6 months so that helped learn to be around other adults and kids but most still don't like to be talked to or touched which is nice because that is okay.
August 1, 200816 yr Lol the secret to restaurants is stuff their little bellys full just before you go and they generally sleep the whole time and make sure you have a bottle full with you incase- makes it easier than trying to feed them at the table or ducking off to do it. This little fellas been everywhere already!!
August 12, 200816 yr Author A little Benny update (nearly 4 months old ) He is very good boy and laughing all the time.... But still doesn't like to be put down But I'm guessing it will only get worse and worse :hap:
