Hi Guys,

We have another fluke in our nests it would appear. From the pairing of a yf2 df spangle hen to a violet normal cock, who we already knew was a split ino from a previous nest when they produced a normal cremaino. We've got a normal spangle an albino and... a Fallow OR lacewing? can he be split ino and lacewing? what're the chances of that...??

We originally thought the bub to be a normal creamino, considering it has a normal albino sibling... BUT today we found colour :S

Here's som pics to show you...

Our best bet is fallow, because of the colour coming through on the rump...and i'm not sure if lacewings get coloured cheek patches?

1.jpg - looking like a normal creamino.. Or is it... :s I see cheek patches...

2.jpg - 1!!!!

3.jpg - 2!!!

4.jpg - Rump with colour coming through?

5.jpg - and again???

Some may call me impatient for posting this... but it's not impatience people, it's excitment :P i LOVE my fallows ;) and don't own a lacewing...

What do you all think?

Very cute Libby :P Lacewing would be out due to colour on the rump...and that only leaves fallow

Woot!!!!! i hoped so ;)

Definatly letting them have another round with fingers crossed :P This'll be my first yf fallow i own and my first blue type i bred :D

We've lost 3 red eyed bubs from her between this lot and the last one... i hope they weren't all little fallows lost

It's kinda a shame the albino sibling didn't come out fallow also :P

But lucky me aye... it's funny, Norm was only talking about spangle fallows the other day, then voila... spangle fallow :D

Goodluck with them libby.

oh they are pretty you just keep us updated on them feathering up

Bit exciting like you say Libby, bit early to tell what yet, but birds can certainly be split for Ino & Lacewing, as my cock I bought that has given me my one & only Lacewing, has produced Lutinos too. As far as I know it could be split for Fallow too. Lacewings have the Mauve check patches, which it seems to be getting, but not the rump colour, I guess we need to wait a few more days.

I would think that even if it was a Fallow even with the chance of Spangle, you would think it would have White check patches.

The only fallows i have with white cheek patches are my recessive pied fallows, all the normals have blue/mauve ones :S ?
