Went To Buy Rabbit Food And Bought Another Budgie Home!

Featured Replies

Couldn't resist this little beauty when I went to buy rabbit food this morning. My boys have named her Shiloh. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out with the mutation as pieds have me beaten. The lady said she was 6-7 weeks old but I think she is more like 3-4 months as she seems to be just going into a moult.

The colors haven't come out very good in some photos, her bottom of the wings are a lemon color like her face.

Gorgeous Dominant pied :fear :(

She looks like about 10-12 weeks :D

PS she doesnt look like "rabbit food" to me :)

I agree with Kaz and a Cobalt coloring :D

I agree with Kaz…she should moult out a nice bird.

You should know by now that when you have addictions like this you should only be allowed to carry enough money to buy your needs. So you can't be tempted. :D

Norm I left my purse in the car that didn't stop me from buying Pretty we went back out and got it :D oh boy...the addiction

Don't worry I have been strong & not bought a bird...but then the next week looked again & it was still there so it came home with me...LOL...

No hope 4 us...

At least Elly your more stronger than most of us...your only onto your second birds aren't you?

But don't be complacent, your still not safe at any moment it could develop into a full-blown addition, be careful.

Denise I just picked up on the fact that no body took notice of the fact that you said it has Yellow on the face & wings...it must be a Yellow Face2 Dominant Pied Cobalt Normal.

I agree with Norm Elly, at the moment you are being very restrained. I just convinced my other half to scrap our plan to buy a house in a country town at the end of the year in favour of buying a property with land outside of town so I can have my aviaries without bothering the neighbours :D

Way to go MB...you didn't call yourself Melbourebudgie for nothing...I'm proud of you.

This would make a yellowface dominant pied

Funny you should say that, it's exactly what my husband said to me and what made it worse was that I forgot to buy the rabbit food

Your right only on #2 and that is only because of my husband if I was single or didn't have a hubby look out.... :D

Denise I agree with Kaz a nice Normal Violet could be good, plenty of contrast YF2 Dominant Pied Violets & Cobalts.

See you needed to buy that bird, you were so excited you even forgot the rabbit food…LOL… :D

A normal violet would be perfect as this is the gorgeous little fellow I bought a couple of weeks ago
