Posted April 17, 200817 yr I went trawling yesterday for options for a large platter for serving fresh food on. What I ended up with was a round bird stand which I got on clearance for $15 down from $50 from my local pet shop. Then what to use as a tray? I went to Bunnings and got a 40cm wide ceramic glazed plant saucer for $6. The stand is gold coloured and the saucer is heritage green so it looks quite stylish. I also found at bunnings ceramic bird feeders. Which were much the same as a large(44cm)deep planter saucer. They were glazed in nice colours with a little design in the middle. They have three holes near the edge so that you can put wire or chain on them to hang them up from the roof of the aviary. Quite pretty and also very large so would be suitable for seed or vegies for someone with lots of birds to feed. They were only $17. Edited April 17, 200817 yr by Daz last comment not needed now
April 17, 200817 yr Author I have photos of my stand but I didn't think to take a photo of the bird feeders when I was there, if I go over the weekend I'll take a photo. Here's the stand: You can see how much food it hold, it's definately big enough for my birds! Edited April 17, 200817 yr by melbournebudgies
April 17, 200817 yr Author I thought about going the pedestal fans but didn't have any dead one's so it would have required a hunt, and for a total of $21 brand new in the end I couldn't say no
