Posted April 16, 200817 yr Hi some new budgies today, can you guys help me with the colours as they are colours I dont currently keep so another little learning curve. (there are two pieds that are basically identical). You'll have to excuse them looking scruffy as they are moulting, plus they are out of sorts from the transport, etc. We have an olive green opaline? I notice her markings are very pale on the head, what does this mean. Edited April 16, 200817 yr by KAZ took out a pile of Gobbledegook
April 16, 200817 yr Author Trying again with some photos that caused problems...I have two the same which I thought were pied but Kaz has suggested are fallows. They have red eyes with a white iris ring and are pure white with blue bums, they both appear to be carrying violet. And a back view of the olive girls so you can see her head/wings

April 16, 200817 yr Author Yep, my research suggests they are fallows, they have plum eyes with white iris rings. I have ust discovered though that I'm not sure how to sex them as the fallows have the same issues with sexing as lutinos ...:sigh:

April 16, 200817 yr Author So I guess I just have to be patient then I was so excited when I got them as I thought they were all females(I'm very low on girls), now for all I know three of them may be boys... :sigh:
April 16, 200817 yr Author They are only rescue babies essentially but they are cuties. They haven't got the best background so quarantine will be very strict until I am positive they are 100%. One is quite skinny(a fallow) so she will be getting plenty of extra food. The one I am most pleased with is the lutino.
April 16, 200817 yr with tender loving care I bet in a month or 2 they will be unrecognizable and look gorgeous with your care
