Posted April 13, 200817 yr These are my new budgies i thought i would take some photos of them before they go into the new aviary. I was told the first two are texas clearbodies were they right? clearbody 1? clearbody 2? baby lutino daddy lutino? I was told to pair the yellow clear body up with my albino rather than lutino any ideas why? What would happen if you put a yellow clearwing to a yellow clear wing? Or is it based on their genes? April 13, 200817 yr Your Daddy lutino is NOT a lutino. Its a Double factor spangle. The first two are clearbodies YES :hap: Cant say about your baby lutino as it sits in darkish conditions and as you have a "daddy Lutino who is not a lutino...I wont comment on the baby lutino until I see a clearer picture. Nice birds Photobucket has an edit feature so that you can turn your photos the right way up.

Yeah i thought he wasnt thats why it was 'lutino?' with a question mark. i thought he would have been a dark eyed clear how can you tell the difference? The baby is lutino, she has bright red eyes and is beautiful and clear. These birds were an absolute bargain! they are in such beautiful condition and have great temprements and they arnt scared
April 13, 200817 yr before you put them in the aviary you need to make sure you quarantine them from your other birds for at least 30 days to ensure they don't have any underlying illness. They are very beautiful, congrats.

April 13, 200817 yr Author excellent :hap: , I wasn't sure that is why I said something. Thats fine, i didnt know you had to do that when i first started breeding- so someone has to say it otherwise we wouldnt know. Thanks for your fast reply
April 13, 200817 yr Yeah i thought he wasnt thats why it was 'lutino?' with a question mark. i thought he would have been a dark eyed clear how can you tell the difference? There is less chance of yopu having a dark eyed clear more because its a rarer variety. He looks exactly as I would expect to see a DF Spangle.
April 13, 200817 yr Clearbody 1 & 2 look MEAN ... they look like they would kick the dickens outta me & laugh while doing it. And then they'd come back & kick me some more ... & LAUGH MORE. Those 2 boids is GANGSTER BUDGIES ! But I think you have a bunch of lovely birds. Make sure you have a good lock on the Aviary Door ... these 2 are gonna be trouble. I can see it in their shifty eyes!

April 13, 200817 yr Nice birds especially the TCB’s & the DF Spangle. I answered you breeding TCB’s questions in your other post. But it looks like you have two TCB’s & they look like a cock & hen, so you could mate them together & get more TCB’s. The only problem is that they came from the same breeder probably & you don’t know how closely related they are. If you did & the Yellow one is split for Blue you could get both colours, if not all Green series birds. They both look good quality, I wouldn’t mind then in my aviary, especially the Blue looks better than mine.

Thanks Norm, I dont have enough praise for this breeder his birds are so beautiful and they were an absolute steal for $12 each! I think he could see that i was genually interested and that i would look after them so he practically gave them too me! He did tell me who the parents were and they are not related so i may put them together as they seem quite close already
