April 10, 200817 yr Hi all, Just waned to double check myself ... I am thinking about my next breeding pairs ..... Normal Grey Cock - Normal Skyblue Hen = Mostly Grey and a few colablts .... Is this correct?? You will get 50% grays and 50% variation of blues depending on how many dark factors your grey bird carries as your skyblue is carrying none this is if the bird is a single factor grey. You will have 100% greys if your grey is a double factor grey (hard to tell if DF or SF) many times you can tell on the intensity of the grey but then it could be also related to if he has 1 or 2 dark factors too. The grey is going to vary along with the blue because we don't know how many dark factors your grey as or if any. Also Skyblue Spangle Cock - Skyblue Spangle Hen All skyblue spangles maybe a few DF spangles??? 25% Double Factor 50 % Single Factor 25% normals all will be skyblue since there are no dark factor in either bird Please correct me if I am wrong - And expalin why ... Still learnin the genes Remember these are just % and general expections, along with the fact that you don't know if there are any recessive genes or sex-linked gens that the cock birds are carrying so there can always be surprises. Thanks for your time : )
