Crazy mom and family

I have 3 budgies 1 mom, 1 dad and one 1 month baby. The baby is already partially bonded with me he does fly a bit when i get him nervous, but other than that hes cool. Yhe I have the dad who when hes in the cage hes totally scared of me, but when i grab him and hes out of the cage he stays on me and lets me play with him. BUT the mom is crazy the second i open the cage door she dives into the nestbox like shes protecting eggs even though she hasn't layed for like 2 1/2 months. I always try to take her out with the rest of the family but she never lets me any ideas...

The guy who appreciated stuff,

Steven :parrot:

yup still nothing

i have no idea what advice to give you. I'm a female and i really think that you should leave her alone. I never want to go out with my husband and kids. (Laughing out loud)

Thats interesting but she tortures every1

in what way does she torture everyone?

biting...

oh my god she just mit the baby and its bleeding that stupid bird!!! If anything happens to the baby im gunna torure her!!! :'(

REMOVE THE NECT BOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Cough* sorry now that I have your attention, if she has not laied for so long and it sounds like she had just had a clutch of eggs then it is time to take the box off or out of the cage to give her a break, this should also help with the anger. Your should only have two clutches of eggs in one breeding circle, then you need to give the parents a break so they can get back up to stengh. Is the kid still been feed by the dad? Or is s/he feedin him/herself? If it's the later then their would be no hassles by getting her/him a cage of her/his own. If it's the first well as stated before removal of the next site should settle the hen down greatly.

let us know how it goes.

The baby is eating by itself but it doen't know how to go to the feedingthing and get food for itself i have to give it the seeds and fruit in te nest box or when it is outside with me. okay ill take out the nest box thx

okay my dad just took out the nestbox and now he replaced the hole with hanger metal...he sells hangers...and it is glued together with this plastic is plastic safe for budgies.

You need to check with the glue manufacturer to see if it is safe for use around birds. I know when I had fish and the tank developed a crack on the bottom, I had to get special sealant because regular sealant was toxic to fish, so I would imagine the same toxicity problem would apply to budgies. I don't know for certain, but I'd be hesitant about giving birds access to glue.

Thank you ill ask my dad to see what he used...
